My brother celebrated his 28th birthday on the 17th of March and luckily for me, the weather was nice enough to dress for spring. Originally I had planned to wear my Peter Pan collar dress from Asos but I tried this ensemble on and fell in love. The skirt shown was originally a dress I purchased from Walmart in the summer but I had a love/hate relationship with it. I love the print of the bottom but loathed the black, zipper top and I felt it didn’t really do anything for me. I was inspired by rawrmanifesto
to chop the top half off and use it as just a skirt. I’m really pleased with the results and I cannot wait to wear it more often this summer. The cat eye glasses didn’t make it out the door but they were fun to wear for picture purposes.

Last tuesday I had the pleasure of meeting fellow blogger Faye Daniels (content NSFW). We dinned and took a stroll through Indigo bookstore (which was incredibly beautiful, by the way). I wanted to look super cute, seeing as she is the owner of fuckyeahchubbyfashion. I had a wonderful time and she looked cute as ever!
Before leaving, I ditched the oxfords heels. It was far too cold and snowy to bare walking outside. I also tossed on a cardigan for warmth.

Since I didn’t really have an outfit of the day (aside from my regular job interview getup) , I’ll post my outfit from yesterday.
I had a coffee date with an old friend but I had a meeting to attend to beforehand. I wanted to wear something casual and comfortable. My friend cleared out her old fat clothes and gave me a few adorable dresses and one of them was this adorable, white lace dress. I paired it with a black belt and black leggings (I’m too tall to really pull it off as a dress, unfortunately) and threw on some boots. I’m usually a fiend for cardigans but the sleeve length hits perfectly on my arm, so I felt comfortable wearing it freely. Finally, I threw on my favourite new fall jacket (which I’ve been getting quite a lot of compliments on!) and voila! Unfortunately, I didn’t really have the time to take many photos showing details (nor did I get a shot of the boots I was wearing) but I’ll make a mental note to do that next time I wear the lace dress.
Ignore the toilet. I was in a hurry!
