Whether you’re getting ready to celebrate Galentine’s Day, or you just want to find a cute place to brunch Sex & the City style, I’ve got the list for you! I’ve been taking the act of bruching very seriously since officially moving to Toronto and go almost every weekend with my best gal pals. Brunching in general has become a favourite pass time for a lot of girlfriends in big (or small) cities, so I thought I’d round up some places I really love thus far. My list is sure to grow as I get more settled into Toronto, but for now enjoy 5 places to brunch with your besties in Toronto!
Le Société: 131 Bloor Street West (Level 2)
Reservations Allowed: Yes (I would highly suggest making them, especially for parties over 2. Ask for a booth!)
Price Point: $$$
This French inspired spot has become one of my personal favourite places to brunch and enjoy the company of my besties in Toronto. Le Societe is an upscale bistro with a posh but relaxed vibe. With stained glass ceilings, spacious booths and a large menu to indulge in, its no wonder why my pals and I keep coming back for more. A usual visit starts with a teapot of chai tea and beignets for the table, the Croque-Monsieur; a baked ham sandwich with a layer of cheese on top with a side of seasoned fries, and another shared dessert to finish us off! If you really want a space where you can sit for an hour or so and catch up with your best friends, I highly suggest checking out Le Société!

The Broadview Hotel: 106 Broadview Ave
Reservations Allowed: Yes (not always needed)
Price Point: $$
Located in the Danforth, The Broadview Hotel is a hot spot for locals who take brunch seriously. This brunch spot is bright and airy, with lots of character and instagrammable tables throughout (those marble tables are to die for!). Although I haven’t had a chance to enjoy it myself, The Broadview Hotel is known for their rooftop patio and I have it on good authority that its one of the best in the city!

Dineen Outpost: 1042 Gerrard St E
Reservations Allowed: No
Price Range: $
Situated in Leslieville, Dineen Outpost is one of three Dineen locations and the only one I have personally been to. I was immediately intrigued by the pink accents just about everywhere. Dinnen Outpost is a little less of your stereotypical brunch spot, and a little bit more of an upscale café. However, they serve a full menu of food and drinks to pick from. The best part? Everything is cute enough to feature on your instagram page! Ps, I’m drinking a matcha latte and it was delish.

School: 70 Fraser Ave
Reservations Allowed: Yes (not always needed, but safer to make on weekends)
Price Point: $$
This charming little resto located in Liberty Village has a very special place in my heart. My pals and I literally followed our noses to this charming spot and we weren’t disappointed! School’s vibe is exactly what the name would suggest; menus on clipboards and exposed brick walls lined with books. Whether you want a cozy and warm spot to brunch in the winter, or a large patio space to soak up some rays over breakfast, School has it all. Ps, If you’re a fan of sweet + savoury like I am, I would highly suggest the “Super Cheesy Bacon French Toast”. You can thank me later 😉 (Images courtesy of @schoolresto)

Starving Artist: 1078 St Clair W / 810 College St
Reservations Allowed: Yes (not always needed)
Price Point: $
Last, but definitely not least is Starving Artist which has two locations, and a more relaxed atmosphere. If you like waffles, which I’ll personally be offended by if you don’t, Starving Artist is a must visit for you! Everything on the menu is waffle focused, with a decently sized beverage selection too. Starving Artist has friendly and very relaxed vibe, with walls lined with artist paintings that you can buy after you’re finished munching on your waffles. Additionally, its one of the less costly brunch spaces on the list and a great option for those who prefer the roll out of bed and go method!
