Hi my babies!!! A little life update, I’m back in Toronto for a little while before I’m whisked off to BC for 10 days. Life is busy, Spring is in full swing and I’m a happy summer baby who is finding her grounding again! How are all of YOU?!
Rompers are quickly becoming my favourite Spring (and probably Summer) clothing of choice. They’re easy, comfortable and keep me from having my own Marilyn moment. I’ll admit, I’m building quite the collection and it seems like just about every one of my favourite stores has a stockpile of rompers this season. If you ask me, I’m happy about the trend becoming more available for plus size bodies. Namely, apple shape folks like myself. My belly has often made it impossible, or rather pretty difficult to enjoy the benefits of a good romper but it seems like people are actually…. thinking of us? No more belly-toe!
Thanks to one of my all time favs, Torrid, I’m now the owner of the cutest retro-inspired romper on the market right now. I’m loving the juxtaposition between the top and bottom. For those who like to keep their bottom half a little less pattern busy, this romper is the perfect option for you! Its every so roomy, quite flowly, super light weight fabric gives my big ole belly all the room it could ask for! If you want a little bit more information on the fit, check out my recent Torrid haul!
I GUESS I should talk about how I styled this piece, since this is my fashion blog after all. I’d be lying if I said I had any plan or forethought before putting this look together. Honestly, the inspiration mostly came from my purse and I wanted to play up all the colours. Normally, I’d probably try to keep the colour palette a little more relaxed since the red is so loud. However, my purse screamed “play with colours” and I opted to put aspects of the purse’s colour palette through out the look. How would you style this piece? Would you play it up or play it down? Let me know in the comments below!
