Basic Invite

First and foremost, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I can’t believe its already 2018, I’m definitely going to have to get used to writing that. Even though the holidays have officially wrapped up for the season, I’m still on a high from all the celebrations. My personal favourite, Valentine’s Day, is just around the corner, too! Facebook invites have sort of taken over but lately, I’ve been feeling the urge to start sending real invites again. That’s where Basic Invite comes in, which is one of the many online invitation companies.¬†Personally, I have very little experience with ordering custom invitations online but I was really intrigued by Basic Invite. With unlimited colours, over 40 different envelope colours and 250+ holiday designs, you really don’t need to go anywhere else.

Before I go forward, I want to thank Basic Invite for sponsoring this post. I was genuinely ecstatic to work with a stationary brand. If you don’t know already know, stationary is my true passion in life. I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to stationary though, so I can be quite picky. So, I went in with my typical high expectations and let me tell you, they were surpassed.

I focused mostly on invitations but I also picked up some business stationary as well. Mind you, this was my first time creating custom invitations so I wasn’t sure where to begin.¬† I really loved the endless options of designs to pick from. Even a creative control freak like myself could find something I loved. I settled on the adorable Valentine’s day invite above, which will actually probably get framed and put on my wall. I picked the Smooth Coated finish, which is a described as a semi-gloss finish with vibrant colours. I also JUST realized its made of 50% recycled content, which really tickles my fancy. I’d definitely say the description matched what I received. Another great thing about Basic Invite is the option to order a sample. This way you don’t have to get stuck with something you don’t love!

Additionally, I picked up sample business stationary as well. This time, I chose a signature matte finish. Even though this is their most basic finish, I was still really impressed with the quality overall. Although much smaller than I would have thought, it still exceeded my expectations ten fold. I want to start corresponding to my business requests via stationary now!

I’ve never had personalized Christmas cards made. Ever. Which is kind of weird because I can be kind of vain and since I put so much effort into my blog photos, it only seems right. I took the opportunity to grab 2 different cards, both very different, from Basic Invite. Both cards were sent in the “Premium Shimmer” finish and boy oh boy, was I impressed! They really do mean shimmer! It gives the card such a magical, stunning look. In fact, one of the very first things my boyfriend commented on when I gave him his Xmas card was the finish of it. I really wish my camera could pick up just how sparkly and pretty it is!

Each sample was anywhere from $2-$3, which is pretty reasonable in my opinion. Basic Invite would be perfect for the meticulous bride and creative control freaks (like myself). It’s also so incredibly easy to navigate that even my mother could figure it out (sorry mom, but you ask me how to make an instagram post one too many times). Whether you’re in need of work holiday party invites or business cards, Basic Invite has you covered!
