I’ve been having such a lovely time in Boston with my fella but unfortunately I’ve had some rotten luck. I’ve been various stages of sick since I arrived 2 weeks ago and its put a damper on a lot of our plans. I’m finally beginning to feel a bit better so my sweetheart and I decided a mid-week fancy dinner date was in order.
Since I’m between traveling a lot, I don’t really have the option to bring too much with me and I’ve been abusing my cheap black flats as a result. I’m so worried that they’ll fall apart on me any day but so far they’ve held up through security lines, customs, strolls through the park and so much more. As much as I love these flats, I’m not quite certain I love them with this dress. Even so, I just adore this turquoise dress from eShakti so much. I’ve felt a little iffy with the quality of my most recent purchases but this piece blew me away. The “Havana” dress comes in a variety of colours and is on the less expensive side, well at least for eShakti’s prices. Given the neckline, I would suggest paying the $7.50 extra to ensure it fits properly. With all that being said, I’m over the moon about getting to finally dress up to enjoy a romantic evening with Gilbert. The best part was witnessing his facial expression when he first saw me all dolled up. What more could a girl ask for?

About 4 years ago I started having to wear glasses full time, which back then really frightened me. I thought life as “four-eyes” would be a cruel thing. Little did I know just how much I’d enjoy using glasses as a way to play up or down an outfit. It has truly become one of my favourite ways to accessorize. With such a large, ever-growing supply of on-trend eyewear there is no stopping my obsessive collecting of glasses. Now, since school is just around the corner I’ve been thinking an awful lot about how I want to dress this semester. Eyewear is a big part of every outfit that I put together since I’m terribly blind without them but thanks to shops like SmartBuyGlasses
that’s no longer an exhausting task. I can pick from endless options of designer and (my personal favourite) vintage inspired frames. Now being a four-eyes is in style and heck, even people with perfect vision are even hopping on the bandwagon! I’ve put together three different back-to-school outfits inspired by my must have frames below. I’d like to think that they’re all a different range of casual for me but wearing heels to class might be pushing it. But hey, thats why they’re fantasy outfits!
Which pair of glasses are your personal favourite? Is eyewear a big part of your ensembles? Let me know in the comments below!
Excuse the lack of creativity these days but most of what I wear seems to be similar to what I’ve been doing a lot of lately. My adorable $5 black flats from Wal Mart go with just about everything and they’ve helped me realize just how fun socks can be as an accessory. Can you blame me for trying to incorporate them with everything? At least I’ve been trying to get into the habit of doing more with my hair. I was inspired by the lovely and just down right perfect, Anna of SouthernCharmm
. She’s my hair, clothing, basically everything queen! This cute little number has been worn a few times already but I finally managed to snap a few shots while at my boyfriend’s place. It was just perfect for sight seeing and shopping! He even wore a matching green shirt. How gross and adorable is that?
