    Happy Halloween!!

    Posted in Uncategorized by

I woke up this morning sort of feeling dreadful and tired until I remembered its HALLOWEEN!! My first ever if you’re counting officially! I’m so excited about getting to spend this day doing spooky things, listening to as many ghoulish tunes as I can find and finally watching A Nightmare Before Christmas (amongst a few other halloween themed movies).

Call it cheesy or lame to go as the same thing 2 years in a row but I had very little intention to actually go out this year. I wanted to spend time at home watching as many Halloween themed movies + eating all the best kinda food I can. My plans got changed very last minute after I was invited to the Rookie Masquerade ball with my dearest Celia. The night was a blast and I went in an updated Dominatrix costume! Go take a peek at her post for tons of party photos!!

Check out these super neat drawings sent to me from Simply Be UK‘s designers of Halloween costume ideas! I wish I had seen these before I decided on my last minute costume. I’m thinking I could have pulled of Elvira. What do you think?

Let me play you out with my favourite Halloween tune and remember to stay safe and have loads of fun today, ghouls!!

    Fall Favourites from Simply Be

    Posted in Uncategorized by

Its fall and you know what that means; sweaters, tights and layers! Its cozy season and Simply Be has got it covered for plus size comfort clothing! Simply Be has virtual isle’s stocked to the roof of every single style, size and colour you could imagine. Ranging from your usual cozy knit sweater to (brace yourselves) a full pleather skirt. I really do think its safe to call it when I say I won’t be looking any further this season.

Autumn is the perfect time to go searching for that fancy smancy dress you just know you’re going to be slipping into come December. There’s nothing quite like putting on your favourite dress to go attend a family party or (in my case) enjoy an annual trip to the theatre. I’m so wildly impressed with the options on Simply Be’s website that I’ve already started daydreaming about wearing a few pieces. Like the Rose Detailed Pleated Dress and the Rise Evelyn Dress. Such pretty choices, such an incredibly large selection to pick from and such a dream for a shopaholic like me!

One of my favourite things about Simply Be is how accommodating they are. In an endless sea of limited plus size shops that seem to forget that full figured bodies exist outside of a size 18/20, Simply Be really just gets it. The truth is we all need our own personal go to store and I think Simply Be really just gets what that means. Tons of options, a wide range of sizes from 12-32, on trend items while still offering classic and timeless pieces. They’re everything a one stop shop should be and the best part? Being able to access that right from the comfort of your own home. It just doesn’t get better than that.

    Casper The Friendly Ghost

Its that time of year again! The days are getting shorter and we’re about to enter my favourite time of the year. Nothing feels more exciting than knowing Halloween and Christmas are around the corner but due to my parent’s religion, I’ve never actually celebrated either. Now that I live on my own I’m so ecstatic and excited to decorate and get right into the holiday spirit. I’ve spent the last few weeks buying decorations and obsessing/collecting cozy pj pants.

I just wanna talk about this skirt for a second. Re/Dress was kind enough to send it to me and its just been sitting away in my closet waiting to be worn since late summer. With everything that was going on I just didn’t have the time to wear it and I’m the type to make sure the first official wear is a well thought out process. I’m so in love with how this skirt moves, its like a dream! I feel like I constantly need to be grabbing or looking at it. This skirt is top notch and I’m going to make sure I wear it a lot this winter.
I feel so inspired this time of year too, which is sort of weird because I do suffer from SAD. All I wanna do is get dressed up, explore the city and impatiently await trick’r’treaters and Christmas lights. In the mean time, I’m just gonna keep wearing all of my best clothing!

    First Day of School!

    Posted in Uncategorized by
Along with moving out of my childhood home and starting a new (dream) job, I’ve also enrolled in college! Being in any sort of school is really, really stressful for me but I just couldn’t sit back and allow my dreams to go unrealized any longer. Nonetheless, this is all very exciting and I’m so happy with where my life is headed. Who knew being a grown up could be so fun?
I snagged up some super cute clothes at the last Value Village 50% off sale. If you don’t already know they usually have a big sale at the end of each month on featured items. I’m pretty dedicated to attending every sale because I always manage to come home with gems like these! I felt downright cute   for my first day of school and its so nice to have a place to routinely show off my outfits!
