    OoTD – The Nerd

There really is’t much to say about this outfit. I felt like putting something together that I don’t normally wear. I think I did pretty good for a split second decision.

Ootd – The Wednesday Addams Remix

    Posted in Uncategorized by
I’ve had this dress in my closet for a few weeks now. Like many others, I was immediately taken by the Peter Pan collar and Wednesday Addams feel of this dress. I bought it on a whim and unfortunately, I never really it worked well on me when I received it in the mail. Another issue I had with this dress was how often I would see it pop up around the Fatshionista community. I wanted to wear it my own unique way but I never really felt content enough with my ideas to really put anything together.
I finally felt inspired to wear this dress with a distinct touch of my own style. Its not secret that red happens to be my favourite colour but red and black together is one of my favourite combinations. I feel cute and comfortable in this dress but more importantly, I feel it stays true to personal style.

    OoTD – The Skirt

    Posted in Uncategorized by
A few ago I purchased my very first long skirt from Such Moonshiners of Etsy. I’m not usually very comfortable in anything below the knee but after finding this skirt I simply needed it. The print brings me back to my vacation to Portugal when I was a young girl. It reminds me of the lovely scenery and elderly women I’d meet. It felt almost like I had found an old article of my past relative’s clothing.
Now, I’m not one to buy long skirts. I have a love/hate relationship with anything that hits below my knee but because I loved this print so much I wanted to take the chance. I do have other plans for this skirt but I felt compelled to try it out as a dress before wearing it properly. It felt a bit strange to have skirt  placed around my bust but I’m always up for the challenge of reworking my wardrobe. I’m really digging the way this turned out, even if it might have hugged my breasts a little weird.

Weekend Wishlist: Dorothy Perkins Shirts & Dresses

    Posted in Uncategorized by
This year we’re seeing a lot of collared dresses and shirts with vibrant prints and colours. Dorothy Perkins has a wide selection of exactly that, in sizes up to 22 (B: 48 W: 42.5 H: 52). If you’re looking for a wide selection of basic pieces to colourful prints, Dorothy Perkins will not disappoint.
As I’ve mentioned before, I want to be seen in dresses and colours this summer. This time last year I was always sporting black with an accent of black because I never felt courageous or sure enough to pull of anything else.
Dorothy Perkins happens to be one of my favourite online shops. I’m always really pleased with their selection of clothing and their size ranges. The only thing I dislike about DP is their prices and location. In an ideal world, I’d be able to afford everything I love from their store, so for now I’ll settle with window shopping.

    OoTD – The Test

    Posted in Uncategorized by
Lately I’ve been feeling really inspired when it comes to my outfits. I have this moment before falling asleep where I’ll think of what I want to wear the next day. Its almost easier to dress myself in my mind than to actually skim through my closest and pick an outfit.
The polka dot “shirt” I’m wearing is actually a skirt that’s too small for my hips. I’m too attached and in love with the print to let it go so I’m intending to alter it a bit. If all goes well,  it’ll turn it into a heart neckline halter.  I thought I’d play around and see if I even enjoyed this combination before ruining a perfectly good skirt but I think its safe to say it makes a pretty decent shirt!
